I think the media and advertisers are doing a much better job recently promoting the health benefits of meat. Protein has so many benefits for everyone---it's not just for fad diets anymore! Nutrition labels have also helped consumer choose which cut of meat is more beneficial to their needs. It is much easier now for health/weight-concious consumers to make smart choices.
